That it's very tricky to install these gaskets correctly. If they don't seat properly or the seating surface get's scratched you'll get what you're getting now. You have to either reseat or just get new gaskets and start over again. I just hope you did not scratch the seating surface. Maybe some of the other members will know what to do in a case like that, Maybe using a little liquid gastet and lightly buttering both sides of the VTC gaskets will help? BTW: When i do my maintenance i never change those gaskets. The car always ren on synthetic and the engine is very clean in and out. I noticed that on cars that run synthetic, the gaskets and seals stay in a very good condition for the life of the car almost. Dino juice tends to really have them dried out in a few years and miles.
